Ben was born in Prince George British Columbia in 1983. As a child he loved to draw. His pictures mostly consisted of his favorite hockey players. After childhood his artistic abilities and desires would not see the light of day until many years later.
After moving to the Vancouver area for work in 2007, he met his now wife Anastasiya. A few months after they had met, Anastasiya purchased an oil painting set with a easil and a couple of small canvases. After they had each painted their pictures Anastasiya soon realized Ben's artistic abilities were far superior and Ben realized that he had unearthed a God given talent that had laid dormant for many years. Ben always had a fascination and appreciation for the outdoors as he grew up with his parents owning a cabin on Cluculz Lake in the interior of B.C. near Prince George. Naturally he loved to paint landscapes and especially water. While Ben was living on the West Coast of B.C. Ben fell in love with the lush rain forest covered mountains and rock lined ocean inlets.
In 2014 Ben, Anastasiya and their two boys moved to Prince George. At this point in Ben's artistic journey the beauty and talent of his self taught gift would not go unnoticed by his family and friends. Many of them were placing their orders for custom paintings or claiming works that he had hanging on his walls. After realizing that his gift should not go spoiled he continues to develop his skills by spending many hours and late nights experimenting with oil colors, when he has spare time away from his job as a care aide.
Ben sees great beauty in creation and how the sky, trees, rocks, and water intervene with one another. His joy and goal as an artist is to transfer his vision onto canvas to share with others who see the same magnificence in our natural surroundings.
